Client Access, Windows 95, Express ISA PnP Users:
If you were using the Express diskettes prior to version 2.03
and ran the install program and your Client Access drivers were
successfully updated, the install program turned off cascaded interrupts
on your ISA 5250 Express Adapter.
If you are now using the Express diskettes version 2.04, you have
Client Access version V3R1M2 or above and run the install program,
your Client Access drivers will now support cascaded interrupts.
If you want your Express ISA PnP adapter to use this function you
will have to re-enable cascaded interrupts for the adapter.
How to Enable IRQ's 9 and above
- Reboot your system with the IBM 5250 Express Adapter Support
Diskette, Disk 2, in the diskette drive.
- From the 5250 Adapter Test Menu, select Configure Adapter.
- Select IBM 5250 Express ISA (Plug-n-Play) Adapter from the Select Adapter
Type screen (you may need to choose Select Adapter Type first).
- Follow the instructions until the 5250 Adapter Configuration
Menu is displayed. Select Change Adapter Configuration.
- Select Enable Cascaded Interrupts.
- Select Exit from the 5250 Adapter Configuration Menu.
- Power off the PC. The next time that you power on the PC, cascaded
interrupts will be enabled.
