This Storage Estimating Tool tool will assist you in determining
the 2216 or Network Utility storage requirements when planning and designing 2216 or Network Utility network
configurations.
The tool supports all models of the 2216 and Network Utility.
It supports V3.3, V3.2, V3R1 and V2R2 of Multiprotocol Access Services (MAS).
The Storage tool now comes in two formats. A Rexx version you can download
and execute and a new Javascript Web version.

After the Download
When the download is complete, the 2216 Storage Estimator will provide guidance on memory requirements and estimate how much memory is required for a given configuration.
The program will ask a series of questions regarding the MAS release, the
hardware model, the number and type of adapters, the protocols, and
options that will be configured.
An option is provided to save the results in a file for later viewing
or printing. The name of the file will be uniquely determined if not specified
as a parameter to the program.
You may terminate this program at any time by replying 'QQ' to any question.
INSTALL - VM
- Upload the 2216STOR.EXE file to VM as 2216STOR EXEC
(Before uploading to VM, edit the 2216STOR.EXE file on your workstation and delete the last line of the file. The last line is a blank line with an end-of-file character added by some transfer processes. Then upload to VM.)
INSTALL - OS/2
- Transfer the 2216STOR.CMD to your OS/2 system
- Invoke as OS/2 CMD
(If the CMD fails, Edit the 2216STOR.CMD and save it using a data type of "OS/2 CMD". The transfer may have saved it as "plain text".)
INSTALL - WINDOWS/95 or WIN/NT
