  Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) have well-defined deliverables to the AIW for topics of APPN Architecture.

  • APPN High Performance Routing
  • APPN MIBs

  Related Interest Groups (RIGs)

Related Interest Groups (RIGs) have well-defined deliverables to the AIW (and possibly to other standards organizations) for networking topics which are related to the goals of the AIW but are not APPN Architecture.

  • CPI-C
  • Data Link Switching (DLSw)

  Birds Of a Feather groups (BOFs)

"Birds of a Feather" groups (BOFs) are either preliminary discussions that may lead to the formation of a SIG or work groups related to the purpose of the AIW but with no specific AIW deliverable.
